Swamy Nithyananda scandal Video was broadcasted on a tamil news channel from Sunnetwork. In that video, nithyanandha was in a compromising position with the tamil actress Ranjitha. The face was masked in that video and her name was not said. They simply said that the actress name starts with letter R. But later the news came as Ranjitha.(sources Nakeeran).
This was shocking for people who believed him as a spiritual person. There were some incidents in Tamil Nadu after the telecasting the video. Many of his ashrams were attacked and his posters were burnt in public. Security was tightened in his ashrams after the attack. While asking about this to Tamil Nadu CM he said that the concerned department will take action on this issue.
